Sprinklers are on all over the city playgrounds. Next to his giant new container of water balloons, they're his favorite part of going to the playground these days.

Cousin Kerry
Came to visit us. Think Vivienne got along with her?
And Mama still didn't know what was going on in Kerry's life because Ollie wouldn't leave her alone for long enough to have a normal adult conversation. That's okay, Mama used the excuse to go out to dinner in the city with her.

Grass!!
Ollie sort of hated the grass when he was little, but this one must have more Ohio blood in her than he does.
She wasn't too sure about it at first.
But quickly decided it's one of the best things to do on a nice summer day.

Reading and a Treat
Zadia's mommy sure treats us well when we go to visit... down on the floor reading stories and then homemade popsicles too! His first of the season (and maybe his life? Is that possible?)
And while Ollie and Zadia play together at their playdates, the little siblings get to know each other a little better too.

Chillin' with the Swiss Folk
Yeah, he's a cool dude.
(Notice: Wine, wine, sippy cup, sippy cup, whiskey, wine. But what's in those sippy cups?)

Fish ON!
In preparation for this year's trip to the cottage, we got Ollie his very own fishing pole. Ollie and Papa will be fishing every day until the trip (while Vivi is asleep)

You Can Tell Someone Has a Few Younger Siblings
Cause Clyde sure looks like a pro with this little one.
And meanwhile, Ollie had a blast with Clyde's little sister Veronica.
And Clyde's Dad must have a few extra kids—he likes using them as bubble stick retrievers five floors up—Michael Jackson style.

(Yeah, yeah, some of these "recent" posts are from ages ago—it's not actually cold enough right now to be wearing anything but bathing suits.)

Throwing It Back In Your Face, Mama
You think your kid's not listening to you. Ever. Especially when he's three years old. But then this happens:
Mama: "Ollie, it's TIME TO GO! Put your pants on RIGHT NOW!"
Ollie: "Mama, you have to use your nice voice."
Or this:
A car race Mama and Ollie were having was interrupted by a phone call. Mama is talking on the phone making shushing noises at Ollie while he dances around her repeatedly asking when she'll be off the phone, the cars are waiting for you Mama, ready, set, go! Finally, he makes a frustrated growling noise that sounds exactly like Mama when she's frustrated and says, "Mama, how many times do I have to say this!?"
In. Your. Face. Mama.
