Are Those What I Think They Are?

Yep, Ollie's got two teef!

Now if he would only use them to eat some food. No matter what we give him, he's just not into solids. Mama's worried that we're going to have a picky eater on our hands. Wouldn't that be a waste—a Papa who cooks amazing food and a little kiddo who won't eat anything? Let's just hope it's texture and not taste that he's objecting to.

grandma jane withdrawal

did mama mention that grandma jane came to visit me lots of times this summer!? it's been over a month since she's been here and i'm having grandma jane withdrawal. i wish she had the whole year off so she could visit me all the time. we had lots of fun when she was here. we went to the park and to the beach, and we took lots of walks and lots of naps. we even partied for a whole evening by ourselves so mama and papa could go on a date and remember the other reasons they got married—besides to have me, I mean.

i

love

Our Little Pisces

Ollie had his first swim class this past weekend with his friends Milo, Zoe, and Finn. He enjoyed it for the first half of class until he inhaled some water and decided he'd had enough for the day. Can't wait for next week!

(Thanks for the great swim trunks Uncle Matt and Aunt Nikki!)

Ollie vs. The Atlantic Ocean

A few weeks ago when Grandma Jane was visiting (more on that later—we're way behind on our posts!) we took Ollie for his first beach day. It was an overcast day, but still warm enough—which was good since Mama was paranoid about him getting a sunburn. He really liked lounging on the beach, eating the sand, and watching the gulls.
The ocean, however, was another matter...

Sand. Ok.

Surf. Ok.

Cold Atlantic Ocean...

Not Ok!

(the best part is near the end where he pauses to lick the air and then starts crying again)

What an exhausting day!

can you believe that zadia's middle name is love? well i sure can, i think it suits her perfectly.

zadia, zadia, i can't keep my eyes off her.

she plays hard to get sometimes...

but every once in a while, if i share my toys with her...

she'll give me a hug.

Clear the Way, Here He Comes!

Blog time is different than real time... on Monday morning, about a week after our little wiggler learned to rotate, he figured something else out. Here are a lot of videos of a big milestone:

Motion

2D motion equals translation plus rotation

Ollie has the rotation part down.

Nature Boy

You might be wondering what this picture is...

It's the view Ollie liked most on his first hike this Saturday.

He sure liked the new way of riding in the carrier, backpack style.

And he got a big kick out of touching his first pine tree.

We're ready for our first camping trip now!
