Cottage, Here We Come!

Today we're leaving for the cottage and Ollie is SO excited! He has two bathing suits—one from Nana and Poppy and one from Uncle Matt and Aunt Nikki—and last week Mama bought him the smallest, brightest life jacket she could find. So now he's ready for the boat and the lake and drinking lots of beer. See you in a week!

happy 60th birthday grandma ruthie!

and one more very important post today. grandma ruthie turns 60 today and i'm sending a big drooly, slobbery internet kiss to her!

grandma ruthie, don't look so stunned! 60 is a great number. when i turn 1, you'll turn 61, when i turn 10, you'll turn 70. when i turn 40, you'll turn 100! we can ring in the new decades together.

this is me with my grandma jane. i still really love to sleep on her. and i mostly love it when i get her all to myself.

cause sometimes i have to share her with all my cousins! which actually isn't so bad either cause they're lots of fun and are showing me all sorts of new ways to get into trouble.

well it seems oh so long ago now, but i never got around to telling you all about my trip to louisville to hang out with all my cousins and aunts and uncles and grandma jane. this is all of us together at the track. aunt kristen is schooling us early on how to gamble, cause she's cool like that.

i've got so many pictures from the trip, i'm going to give you seven more posts today! that should get you through the next week while we're away at the cottage with no internet service for blogging!

north carolina part iii

north carolina seems to be a goldmine of people to love on me.
i also got to see my grandma ruthie and grandpa david again.

this is grandma ruthie and me the first time i met her when i was a week old.

and this is us 16 weeks later. i got a little bigger, don'tcha think?

i was so lucky i actually got to see my grandpa david and grandma ruthie two weekends in a row! they came to new york the week before for a jewelry show at lincoln center. i think they were just using it as an excuse to visit me. and i ain't complainin'!

except when i'm complainin'. and then everyone just mocks me.

north carolina part ii

when we were down in north carolina, i also got to see my poppy again. we took a picture of the three generations of cohen men. i'm a little scared of my future. i'm not sure how i'll look with one of those beards.

i also got to meet my nana, who like all good nanas was a pro at lovin' on me.

best of all, i met my cousin brooke. finally a cousin that i'm older than! only by 2 months, but still... i'm really looking forward to when we're older and can really play together.

Ooooooooooooooooooommmmmm...

I was doing yoga every week while I was pregnant and thought that maybe Ollie would enjoy some OMs and relaxing meditation time. Here's how that worked out for us:
