Homerun
Ollie has taken to T ball. Although He has not figured out that he is supposed to run after he hits the homerun. Maybe he should pick up cricket?

Even More Grandma!
After we went to Hershey, a few days later, Grandma came and joined us for some more fun in Brooklyn. (We did more than just play in the sand but apparently that is all Mama got pictures of!)
All the Cousins Together
It's a special time when we can coordinate all of Ollie's cousins on Mama's side to be in one place at the same time. A few weeks ago (okay, okay, over a month ago) we did just that in Hershey. Uncle Sean and Tia Natalia kindly hosted us all at their place for the week, including Grandma! We all had lots of fun adventures together. (And even a few nights out without the kids!)
First up was a trip to visit some exotic animals on a safari train.
With Grandma's help, we fed the animals special animal crackers that they gave us.
Jack seemed to like them as much as the animals did.
Uncle Sean decided he didn't want another baby after all while trying to wrangle three kids at the same time.
Ollie really got into feeding and petting the goats.
But the crowd favorite was the cute little baby goat.
Ollie was also brave enough to pet the alligator with Tia Natalia.

Then it was off to visit Chocolate world.
Everyone waited patiently together to go into the 3D show.
It wasn't Ollie's favorite part (a bit scary for him), but he was pretty adorable watching it.

He did love pretending to be a factory worker though.
And couldn't wait to eat the samples!
We got a group picture with all the kids and Mr. Hershey Kiss. And we even got a group picture with all of us! (except Uncle Matt and Aunt Nikki who were off drinking and riding adult roller coasters, just kidding, they were still on their way to Hershey).
Then it was time for some good old-fashioned backyard fun.
With a special birthday surprise for Mama—Grandma baked her a carrot cake, Mama's favorite!
Even Jack liked it.

Seems the highlight was Hershey Park though. The carousel was loads of fun.
Actually, come to think of it, the highlight of the trip was actually just hanging out and reading books together.
Lots and lots of books.
We miss all of you tons and are really happy that we could spend time with all of us together. Next time will be Uncle Matt and Aunt Nikki's fabulous wedding in Florida! Yeay!

A Few Gems from Our Boy
Ollie's pretty funny these days. Here are a few good ones from him:
He got a dog hair in his mouth and said, "Mama, there's a hair in my
mouth." I said "Do you want me to get it out?" and he said "No, I'm
still eating it."
We are interviewing teachers for his preschool and today after a trial class with a potential teacher, when everyone was leaving he said "Where did the party go?"
His new version of the classic song "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" goes something like this: "head, shoulders, knees, and nipples and butt!" (uncontrollable giggling).
When I put a skirt on the other day, he
touched it and said, "Mama, I like this!" Then he paused and said
"Someday I'm going to have one of these."
He banged his knee today and was crying and said, "I need some ice! But not cold ice, I want warm ice!"
The other day I had a meltdown when we came home after a weekend away and our contractors had not done nearly as much as they had promised. So after being homeless for the last week, we thought we may need to find another place to stay. I was sick of it all, upset, and crying. Ollie was in the middle of eating dinner and he got out of his chair, got a tissue to wipe his hands off first, then came over and gave me a big hug, kissed my belly, looked right at me and said, "you feel good?"
I love my boy!
