No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!

Aunt Stay-Stay!

Aunt Stacey came to visit the other weekend and Ollie had a blast with her.

They did puzzles together.

Read books.

And the activity Ollie liked most was some early morning yoga. He was a pro at Child's Pose.

Cobra Pose was new to him.

And Downward Dog was by far his favorite.

Not So Helpful Phone

Papa recently got a new phone with a fancy voice feature that allows you to ask a question out loud and the phone will then find the information for you. Sometimes Papa accidentally pushes the button that turns this feature on. Once when he was playing with Ollie, he accidentally pushed it without noticing and then said to Ollie, "Do you have a poop in your pants?" When he looked at his phone, this was the response:

Ollie and Magalie

The other night Ollie invited our across the hall neighbor Magalie over for the evening while her parents went out on the town. Magalie is about 6 months older than Ollie and is teaching him all sorts of great things—like how to jump on the bed and scream really loudly.

First we had some dinner together, then dessert. Which had to be eaten with hats on.

Magalie helped Ollie wash his hair during bathtime. 

And for once, brushing his teeth was fun. Could they be any cuter?

Potty Training?

Or just a new place to read books? Ollie says "potty?" now and Mama gets all excited thinking she'll have him out of diapers before he's two. Until he sits on the potty, asks for book after book, then hops down and pees on the floor on his way out the door.

Halloween Parties

Ollie had three halloween parties to go to! One during his regular Wednesday playgroup, making it that much more exciting since the kids dressed up and the moms drank yummy cocktails provided by Alec and Evan's mommy. Then a brunch party the day before Halloween, hosted by Zadia's mommy (who gave birth the next day). Then a birthday/halloween crossover event for our downstairs neighbor Coco. Here are some pics of Ollie and his adorable friends.

Papa brought home a new favorite toy for Ollie the other day after a site visit. Not sure BH is getting that hat back!

Sometimes Ollie doesn't want to sit in his chair to eat his dinner. And sometimes Mama is a pushover and will do whatever it takes for him to eat something without screaming. Here are a few examples.

Halloween Candy and Other Sweets

Ollie and Mama had all sorts of Halloween plans today and we were getting ready this morning with a big wholesome breakfast of Halloween bagels when Zadia's mommy called and said "hey, you guys wanna come over and hang out with Zadia today while I go pick up a new baby at the hospital?" Okay, well, it wasn't quite as easy as that for her—she actually birthed that baby with no pain killers—but a quick 4 hours later, Aiyana Eden, the sweetest Halloween treat ever was born:

And meanwhile, Ollie and Mama and Zadia and her Uncle Jude had a fun-filled day:

First there was dance class in the morning.

Then naptime. (Hey, you try getting two excited toddlers to sleep anywhere but their strollers.)

Then time to get our costumes on and go out for some parading and candy. Ollie was a monkey this year, rather appropriate since that's Papa's nickname for him and also he eats at least 2 bananas a day.

Uncle Jude was in charge of dressing Zadia.

At the parade, we ran into Ollie's friend Milo, who was also a monkey! They seemed a little non-plussed with each other.

However, Ollie was very excited to see this costume since he's obsessed with backhoes and diggers. 

Then our little monkey practiced some climbing.

By the time the trick or treating hour arrived, little monkey was so tired we had to head home. Papa was pretty bummed we didn't get him some loot, but it was still a good day.
