This is what a baby slumber party is like. (Featuring Oliver, Fabiola, Isla, Charlotte, and Zadia.) And if you listen closely, you can hear Ollie's new skillz.
Ollie and Zadia are on different nap schedules at the moment, so we don't get to go to music or gym class with our favorite little girl right now. But we still manage to work in some Zadia time each week and our two munchkins entertain us with their hilarious relationship dynamic each and every time.
Usually Zadia is the one trying to hug Ollie, or chase him, or hold his hand—while Ollie just sort of tolerates her abundant attentions and plays hard to get...
c'mon ollie, chase me!
you don't mind if i sit here, do you ollie?
hey ollie, let me in, i just want to hug you!
really, i think we can both ride this, ollie.
ollie, do you want some cheerios?
...so this hug that Zadia's mommy captured was especially adorable—a rare moment when Ollie was the one initiating the love—and clearly he adores Zadia too!
Well, we're so far behind with posting, we may never catch up. We still haven't posted pics from our trip to the cottage the first week of August or many adventures between now and then. But instead of dwelling on the past (which we'll tell you about eventually), here are some pictures of Ollie blowing bubbles in the park on Sunday, which was a perfect park day.
And climbing into the toy fire engine at the playspace near us.
How lucky is it that we live right across the street from a fire house!? This week when we were walking home, Engine 226 was out front. The firemen asked Ollie and Emmett if they wanted to get in!
papa has been gone all week hanging out with grandma ruthie while she recovers from surgery (get well grandma!!!!)
he just sent me a picture grandma took when papa was just a bit older than me.
i guess i now know where i get my ginger curls from....
