Two Peas in a Pod

Ollie and Milo were born only one day apart, and at the same hospital. Although their mamas didn't know that until they met a few months later. Ollie doesn't get to see Milo enough these days—his mama had Fridays off for a while, but is now back, hard at work. So last weekend we had Milo over for a weekend playdate, and the boys had a lot of fun.

"where do you think you're going? we've got some things to do..."

"i'll pass it to you and then you shoot it in the goal"

"left! left! go left, milo!"

"Ooohhh" is the New "Bah"

Ollie's got a new favorite letter. And the face that comes with it just can't be beat.

The Cliffs of Brooklyn

Look what else the lil' man can do:

Look Ma, No Hands!

Ollie's not a huge fan of standing. He can do it, but often Mama and Papa have to trick him into it—if he doesn't notice he's doing it, he can stand just fine. But if he notices what he's doing, he'll immediately sit down.


So we practiced a lot, and soon all that standing turned into this:

maybe i've got a little swiss in me?

i did swim down the aare river in bern and climb the swiss alps while i was only a wee hint in my mama's belly.

that clean swiss water must've gotten in my blood, cause i sure liked my first fondue.

mmmmmm... stringy cheesy goodness.

even broccoli is yummy when it's covered in cheese.

brunch and beer

mama and papa have figured out that i'm at my best during the early hours of the day.

so i make them take me out for brunch at least once a week.

last weekend we went to a bar (and grill), which is a wonderful combination of brunch and cold beer. papa has to drink at noon these days because of me!

He Sleeps Well on Thursdays

This week at Oliver's Little Gym class were parachutes, uneven bars, soccer balls, hula hoops, and bubbles.

...and he loves them all!

Sweet Sleeping Baby

It was time to go to gym class and Mama was going to have to wake the sleeping baby anyway, so she thought taking a few pictures of the sweet, still little angel was the best way to do that.

Bringing Home the Bread

Ollie helped Mama with the shopping the other day.

He was a little suspicious of the new passenger in his stroller.

Until he figured out what it was.

He'd eaten about half of it by the time we got home.

Playdates Are Finally Turning Into What We've Been Calling Them For Months

What's awesome to watch these days is the babies interacting with each other and actually playing together rather than just next to each other. Ollie and Zadia had a lot of fun this morning.

"zadia, i'll hide and you find me, okay?"

"where are you oliver?"

"here i am!"

"i think you got a little sumthin' on your face there."

Maybe it was just a smile.

And then you think all this playing tires them out.

But no, it's just their new favorite game of laying on the floor and giggling.

Over and over again.

And it never gets old. For any of us.

Breakfast with Oliver

Papa's Stylist

Ollie has an important job in the mornings...

helping Papa get dressed.

Since Papa thinks the chair in the living room is yellow, when it's obviously green, Ollie needs to help him make sure his socks match.

Mr. Universe 2032

Papa said he didn't like seeing photos of Oliver crying on his blog, so we decided to quickly follow it up with a few fun videos.

Ollie's started training for Mr. Universe 2032 with some upper body exercises.



It's hard work and he sometimes needs to take breaks in between.

The Whole Picture

These photos are for Grampa.

He recently emailed and said, "Bring Ollie here for a week and we'll look after him, he's such a happy kid!"

So we just wanted to make sure Grampa got the complete story of the little man's temperament before he firmed up that offer.
